Mrs. Stuart joined the US trading team in 1992, shortly after moving from her hometown of Schleswig, Germany to Houston, Texas. Over the span of 25 years, she has been involved in all aspects of the trading business, from basic administrative tasks at the beginning of her career to complex commercial transactions. She has developed a deep understanding of all aspects of the business and her background has allowed her to have a positive impact on the group’s performance both operationally and commercially. Her success is rooted in understanding and supporting her customers’ needs and supplier’s aspirations and working collaboratively to support their success in the North American market.

In 2016, Stuart was appointed to her current position as President of thyssenkrupp Materials Trading NA with expanded responsibility for all carbon steel trading activities in North America.
