ABS, or acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, is a common thermoplastic that is easy to machine to close tolerances, easy to thermoform, and relatively low cost. ABS plastics are an easily-machined, tough, low cost rigid thermoplastic material with high impact strength, ideal for turning, drilling, milling, sawing, die-cutting, shearing. It has good chemical and stress cracking resistance to inorganic salt solutions, alkalis, acids, and some oils. ABS has excellent abrasion resistance; electrical properties, moisture and creep resistance. ABS is easily thermoformed and yields great heat detail. Extruded ABS can be easily heat formed as well. ABS comes in a variety of surface finishes and colors. Most of our grades of ABS may be:

General purpose is available in 6 thickness from 1/32"-1/4" and sheet sizes 4'x8' or cut to your specifications. We stock black and white with a haircell finish on one side or smooth on both.

ABS is one of the few non-metallic materials that can be electroplated. It exhibits good chemical and stress cracking resistance, and is resistant to alkalis, certain oils, mineral acids, and inorganic salt solutions.

ABS sheet and rod are ideal for applications requiring turning, drilling, milling, sawing, die-cutting, or shearing. These materials offer excellent abrasion, moisture, and creep resistance, and good dielectric properties. ABS rod and sheet are easily thermoformed and yield great heat detail.
